Voice Over, 2006, Dvd, 14’Nevin Aladag takes us to a journey of sounds. Strolling through the streets of Berlin on a winter day, stopping in a park on a rainy day, meeting with youngsters on streets… Voice over is more than a gathering of sounds but is a togetherness of voices. The wind whistling through harmonica, raindrops hitting the drums display togetherness with the songs sang by young boys in Turkish. Nevin Aladag dresses Berlin with voices of outside: the wind, the rain, the songs of the migrated. Voice over is a poetically posed question to re-evaluate where all these stand in our society today.
